Where to get a firmware file:
Stock IPSW files are available from Apple's servers or the community-maintained
NanoVault repository.
If you encounter a "Unknown compression type: 8" error, use a stock IPSW or one
built with ipod_theme.

Downloads a rebuilt SilverImagesDB.LE.bin with your modifications
packed back into the original binary format. Can be used with custom FAT16/IMG1
repacking tools.
⚙️ Rebuild Full IPSW
Attempts a complete in-browser IPSW rebuild: SilverDB → FAT16 → IMG1 → MSE → IPSW.
The IMG1 signature will be zeroed and invalid.
The resulting IPSW cannot be flashed on stock hardware.
Use with ipod_sun
or ipod_theme exploit tooling.
